「私たちが神の子どもと呼ばれるために、――事実、いま私たちは神の子どもです。――御父はどんなにすばらしい愛を与えてくださったことでしょう。世が私たちを知らないのは、御父を知らないからです」（1ヨハネ3：1） Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
